Schedule

E. Tyler Photography is booked for the rest of 2008. Thank you all for a great season! E. Tyler Photography will be CLOSED for the months of December-March. Limited Sessions will be available starting April 2009. Keep checking back for sneak peeks, Theatre work and personal projects.

Sneak Peek from Today

Because this week is going to be a CRAZY week, I wanted to get this up so I wouldn’t forget. What an amazing, beautiful family. It truly is so much fun to get to know each of the kids I photograph, everyone is so different.

A few notes for this week: All orders must be in by November 30th at the very latest. I can’t guarantee orders before the holidays after this date (if you are ordering canvas, please check with me on whether these will be here in time).  I have a few galleries not up yet and a couple sessions coming up, I will get the galleries up ASAP in order to allow you time to get your orders in before then. If you have any questions about this, let me know.

I will be photographing Fossil Ridge High School’s latest production this week, the show will be this weekend! Please watch the blog for a peek and for production times.

Ok, I won’t hold you up any longer! Here’s the sneak peek!

Perfection

I could tell you a hundred reasons why I love what I do, but today I only need one.

ok… maybe two…

all right… just one more!

Something Fun

A while ago I was contacted by BetterPhoto about using some of my images in my BetterPhoto gallery for a book on photographing children. Betterphoto is such a great place for amateurs AND pros and there are a lot of talented people there. It really is a fun place, so if you have any interest in photography at all (either taking photos or just viewing them!), you should check the place out.

Well, a week ago I received news that two of my images (they submitted three of them to the editors for the book) were in the book. On October 31st, I received my own copy and sure enough, there they were. The parents of these two kiddos will be receiving a book from me too.

Here are the two photos:

Anyway, it was a lot of fun seeing two of my photos alongside some other well known photographer’s beautiful photographs. The book is geared towards parents and those who are trying to learn how to take better photos of their kids.

The book is called “The BetterPhoto Guide to Photographing Children” and is available through BetterPhoto and Amazon (and I’m sure a few other places too).

Quick Public Service Announcement! VOTE!

I don’t talk politics here (and won’t ever!). I have clients, friends and family who come from all walks of life, all political parties and a wide variety of differences and I respect each and every person’s point of view. Isn’t that great how different each and every person is?

But I do want to remind you to let your voice be heard!! We’re coming into the home stretch (thank goodness, I think we are all a bit burnt out on political ads!), if you haven’t voted, VOTE!!!  It doesn’t matter whoever, whatever, or however you vote, just VOTE.

The great thing is we do have choices this year, some new people, some old people, some new things to vote on, some older things to vote on. The Colorado ballot is pretty long, so take a bit to read up on all the issues and decide how you will vote. The only thing better than voting is being an informed voter. :)

Happy Voting everyone!

E-Session

Just a quick note- my schedule is completely booked through the end of the year. E. Tyler Photography will be closed from December-March with limited sessions available starting April 2009. Thank you all for a great 2008!

Here’s a Sneak Peek!

The Glass Menagerie

Paragon Theatre opens on Saturday with The Glass Menagerie. You can read more about it and purchase tickets here: http://www.paragontheatre.org/theglassmenagerie.php

An absolute must see… tremendous performances all around! I am not a theatre critic,  but I have seen my share of productions. This one definitely hits my top list of must see performances. I found myself sympathetic to all the characters, even when I was frustrated with them.  Go see it!!

For my fellow photographers who peek in here from time to time, all of these were taken at no lower ISO than 1600 and most of them are at ISO 3200. I may be more in love with my camera than I was before. ;)

Little Suprises

Some days just don’t turn out how you wish. We’ve been having some cold, wet, and blustery weather on weekends here. Not exactly the best weather when we want to be outside with all the fall foliage. So we’ve been stuck inside or if we’ve been outside, its been for 5 minute little spurts (and then we run inside to warm up!).

But sometimes the unexpected makes for some great little suprises. Days where I don’t think I’ve captured what I wanted to, or days where I thought the photos would be too grainy (and I love grain!) because it was just so dark. So when I pull up a session to do a sneak peek, it is always the greatest when I find gems like these in them.

Good Golly Miss Molly

(and Hello Daisy!)

A few of my doggies.

Molly has multiple personality syndrome (or is just a really good actress). At home she is a wild, holy terror (when she is not hogging the furniture). In public, she is the perfect dog, gentle, quiet and as obedient as possible. She is almost 7 years old (and the puppiness is still there).

YAWN.

Pretending to be regal. She pretends to be Queen (but only when Daisy isn’t watching).

If you have never had a Basset Hound, you can not fully appreciate the word “stubborn”. Here’s Daisy (she prefers not to share her age) :

Did you know she can eat a box of crayons in 30 seconds flat?

C&K E-Session

Another quick Sneak Peek for C&K. I may be a bit biased since I’m related to them, but don’t they make a cute couple? :)

Happy Fall!

There is a definite crispness in the air today! Here is a quick Sneak Peek from this weekend.
