The Consumer’s Guide to Custom Child Photography

A wonderful group of photographers have put together a resource for you, the consumer, about Child Photography. This has articles on what Custom Photography is, how to find the right Child Photographer for you and why prices are the way they are. Please check it out… Custom Photography is an investment, you are buying art of your family and just like you would research your options before purchasing other art, you should research your photography options.

National MS Society 20th Anniversary Walk in Colorado

Well, I did it. I am signed up for the walk happening here in Fort Collins on May 3rd. Multiple Sclerosis is a medical condition that is close to my heart. Though not officially diagnosed, I do deal with the symptoms of MS and hopefully someday I will get out of limboland (but that is another story for another time). This walk raises thousands of dollars to help raise awareness and to help find a cure. As of right now, there is NO CURE for MS. The only drugs that may help prevent further damage are expensive and come with their own side effects. No one knows the true cause of MS, but researchers are working hard to figure the craziness of MS out. It is a nasty disease that can have you feeling fine one moment and falling on the floor the next.

Please help me raise awareness of MS. I refuse to let this disease stop me from doing what I love, and I want to make sure others can do the same. We WILL find a cure someday and this can help. What can you do to help? You can donate, you can walk, you can “virtually walk”, there are a ton of things you can do.

Friends in Minnesota

This weekend I went north to visit some of my bestest friends. They aren’t just any friends, we started out as just a group of ladies who were pregnant together. We have grown to be a group of 28 women with kids of all ages. Not all of us were able to make it to Minnesota, but about a dozen of us did. There were 19 kids (not all of us brought our children). It was a blast and so much fun to try to capture all the kids’ personalities. Hotels aren’t the greatest places to take photos, but we made do with what we had. Here are just a few captures from the weekend.

Defined Collages

You’ve seen a sample when I first came out with these, now I wanted to show you just how fun these are! Each of them are unique…your own personal collage that is designed for your gallery. There are square sizes and rectangle sizes. You can get them in a canvas or you can get a mounted print and frame it. You can also hang without a frame, just use wall velcro. Another idea is to drill holes in each side, add ribbon, and hang from the ribbon. Here are a few samples to give you a taste of the possibilities! Storyboards & Collages are also available without words, but the definitions add a little extra fun when you want it.

Local Businesses

Do you have a local business you just *love*? Do you own a local business? Want to see the business featured on this blog? Local businesses are the heart of communities. When you buy from a local business, you know your money is staying with the community and going right back into the local economy.

A lot of times we go to a chain store because its easier or because we *know* the store. The whole idea of featuring local businesses is to get the word out and get us more familiar with them.

Each business featured will receive a special packet from E. Tyler Photography including a free session with E. Tyler Photography and some other goodies. The businesses can do what they wish with the packet, either using it for themselves, giving to their best customer, the possibilities are endless.

To nominate a local business in the Fort Collins area, please contact me using the subject line: local business.

Have a wonderful day!!!
