Here’s a quick sneak peek of Fossil Ridge High School’s Blithe Spirit. What an amazing show! I was in love with the set- everything was in black and white, including the actors, except the ghosts. I’m just posting a few before the Thanksgiving break. I’ll have the gallery up (and CD’s to the school) in a couple weeks. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The Pride

There is a lot I could say about The Pride…especially since I grew up in a small town where you didn’t talk about “stuff like that” and you still don’t. Even here in the US, there are places where it still feels like the 1950’s. There is a lot I could say about The Pride…but I won’t. All I am going to say is to go see it with an open mind and an open heart.

FRHS Little Women

FRHS Little Women gallery is up and the CD is available for purchase. You can view the gallery and purchase the CD by going to:

Students will be able to copy a CD of the photos at the school, but parents & anyone else may purchase an archival CD of the photos through E Tyler Photography if they would like to. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thanks again for your patience.

Update on FRHS Little Women Gallery & CD

Just a quick update on FRHS Little Women gallery & Cd: the rest of the photos should be up and the cd will be available for purchase by this Wednesday night at the very latest. I am very sorry for the delay. My family was sick this last week so I was unable to work as quickly as I had hoped. Thank you for your patience. :)

Fossil Ridge High School’s Little Women

FRHS invited me back for the musical Little Women. I always love going to Fossil Ridge, I have had the priviledge of photographing their plays since 2006 and it has just been amazing to see so much talent. Every year I get to see familiar faces and I get to see new ones too. When I am photographing plays I always try to blend into the background as much as possible, but the students and teachers are always so welcoming… I am just so thankful that I get to do this for them.

The music is amazing- between the vocals and the orchestra… I guarantee you won’t leave with a dry eye.

Students will have a chance to copy a disc of my photos at no charge. If parents/family members or anyone else would like to purchase an archival CD of the photos, I will make the information available as soon as the photos are ready (most likely next week).

REASONS TO BE PRETTY

Paragon Theatre is currently on their 10th Anniversary year. Amazing what a dream can do when you put action to it! The least I can say about this year is that nothing about it is safe. I am very much looking forward to capturing this amazing year for Paragon. First up is Reasons to be Pretty. I loved it and am planning on going again so I can see the whole thing (long story that starts with a 75 minute traffic delay)… it is like only reading the last 3/4 of a book. I *must* see it from beginning to end.

(W)hole

Amid the craziness, I got to go down to Paragon Theatre again for their new show (W)hole. One of the coolest things about this play is it was written by a Denver playright, Tracy Shaffer. Photographing a play is one of my most favorite parts about this job. I am in control of nothing… lighting, movements, posing, facial expressions… and most of the time I go into a play not ever having read it before. So I know nothing. When it is an “on” night, when all of the pieces click together… the actors, the stage, even my own mood, I find something magical happens. This magic can’t happen every time I photograph a play unfortunately. Like music, not every song can be a hit (although I still enjoy every show I photograph!). So when this magic happens, I revel in it and hope that what I am seeing and feeling translates through the camera.

This play was hands down my favorite one to shoot this year. I hope that my final product shows that. Regardless, this is a must see show for this fall, and it opens tomorrow (Saturday, October 23rd). It is a very adult show, but if you go, I promise you’ll go on a journey of your own along with the characters.
